Macbook Pro Wont Eject

The dvd cd is a slit in the side of the macbook. And the laptop of course doesn't detect either of them so ejecting isn't possible. X my macbook pro will burn a dvd dl verify it and eject it successfully. I'd assume at this point that the disc wasn't really burnt properly and that the verification was mistaken. Or any expresscard for that matter since design goal for expresscard was to do away with the eject button.
